What is the HAP-2
The Phase One HAP-2 autofocusing sensor hardware upgrade is a revolutionary method to upgrade your camera with a new AF sensor without committing to a new camera body.

There are two major improvements with the new HAP-2 autofocus sensor. First, the HAP-2’s low light performance sensitivity has been increased by 2.5 stops; and secondly, the dynamic range of the sensor has also been improved by 1stop in low contrast scenes.
 

How do I know if I have HAP-1 or HAP-2
You can identify your current version of the HAP sensor by upgrading your XF firmware with Feature Update #3 SR4 (CP3.09.3.fwp). After the update is complete, go to the XF camera body menu by pressing the bottom silver bottom, scroll down to the “About” menu and under “AF”, it should say whether your XF camera body has HAP1 or HAP2.

What is the Procedure
The Camera needs to be delivered to our service point in London (Do not send the Prism or the batteries)
The camera will then be sent to the Phase One Service Centre where it will undergo a full-service check and HAP-2 Module will be fitted, calibrated and fully tested
 

Check Firmware Level and upgrade where required
Check and replace repair ports
Check and test the Battery Compartment
Check and test the touchscreen interface
Clean
Replace the HAP-1 for the new HAP-2 Module
Final Check and Test

Breakdown of Costs
The service and exchange Focal Plane Shutter is £840 + VAT
The cost of shipping the Camera to Phase One by Secure and Insured International Courier 2x £50 + VAT
Optional - Cost of Collecting from UK address - Secure and Insured domestic Courier £20 + VAT
