This cable has been designed exclusively for the original Aptus range of backs including 17, 22, 65 and 75 with Fire Wire 400 ports, tethered to the new range of MacBook's and MacBook Pro's, plus the new Apple Mac Intel desktops.

If you want to use the Leaf Aptus with a newer Apple Mac which does not have a FireWire port, then you are also going to require a FireWire Repeater kit.

For Macs with Thunderbolt 2 port, you will require:
FireWire 800 Repeater
12v Regulated PSU (Power Supply Unit)
Short FireWire 800-800 Cable
Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter

For Macs with Thunderbolt 3 / USB C port you will require all of the above plus:
Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter

You will also require a new Capture Software, we recommend Capture One Pro 11.x
