  • Q: Can I use Capture One 8.x with my Aptus or Aptus-II digital back?

    If you have an Aptus-II or Credo then Capture One is free to use with full functionality in the special DB (Digital Back) mode. If you want to use your DSLR like a Canon or Nikon, etc, then you will need to purchase the full Pro version.

     

    If you own an Aptus then you can still use Capture One but you will need to purchase the Pro Version, this version has the added benefit of working with DSLR’s such as Canon’s & Nikons, etc..

     

  • Q: Does Capture One 8.x work with Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite?

    Capture One 8.0.2 has been released to support OSX 10.10 Yosemite.

     

    This is a service release providing additional OS support and few bug fixes.

  • Q: Can I shoot tethered to Windows PC with Leaf Aptus Backs?

    The simple answer is yes! but because Firewire was developed by Apple for Macintosh  the big Windows PC companies got together and developed USB instead. This like may other technolgies became the prefered interface due the much larger market.

     

    Firewire boards can be retro fitted to PC’s  but they don’t have power on board and they require a 12v power supply to drive the Leaf Aptus digital back.

     

    But once you have sourced and installed the firewire board or card you will be able to tether to Windows with Capture One 7.x software.
