Service Update: Broncolor Grafit Repair Notice
As of early 2024, Broncolor has officially announced the End of Service Life for the Grafit power pack series. Consequently, these units can no longer be serviced through official manufacturer channels or standard factory repair routes.

We understand how essential the Grafit series remains to many professional workflows. To support our clients, we offer specialised in-house technical support:

Component-Level Expertise: Our lead engineer is specifically trained to diagnose and repair issues at the circuit board level, allowing us to address faults that traditional service centres might overlook.

Limitation on Parts: While we strive to restore every unit, please be aware that if a circuit board is damaged beyond repair, we may be unable to source a replacement due to the discontinued status of the hardware.

Our Service Guarantee: Should your Grafit pack be deemed unrepairable due to terminal board damage, the unit will be returned to you free of charge.

This is the basic component-level inspection and test. 
Please note, this is the minimum you will be charged. If you decide not to go ahead with the advised additional service/repairs where advised, we will charge the Short Service fee and return the pack unrepaired.

After inspection, our engineer will advise on the additional work (parts and labour) that is required to complete the service.

If no parts are required, the pack will be cleaned, load and soak (24 hours) tested, and then tested for safety and final functional tests.

COLLECTION AND RETURN OPTIONS 
If you are inside the M25, we can arrange collection and delivery with our own Van, so no special packaging is required; just select the option Collection and/or Return Delivery above, and we will contact you to arrange.

If you are anywhere else in the UK, we can arrange collection with one of our preferred overnight couriers.

Load Testing
Load testing involves operating a device under specific, often maximum, operating conditions to verify it can handle its intended workload without failure. 

Purpose: 
To confirm the device performs as expected under typical or high usage.
Procedure: A power load (such as a resistor bank or simulated workload) is applied to the output of a power supply or circuit board.
What it finds: Overheating components, voltage drops under load, and insufficient cooling

Soak Testing
Soak testing (or endurance testing) involves running a device for an extended, uninterrupted period—sometimes several hours, days, or even weekends. 

Purpose: To verify long-term stability and identify defects that only appear after the system has reached thermal equilibrium or has been running for a long time.
Procedure: The device is powered on, often under normal operating load, and left to run continuously, allowing it to "soak" in that environment.
What it finds: Thermal instability, gradual component degradation, memory leaks in embedded systems, and intermittent failures. 

Combined "Load and Soak"
In practice, these are often combined into a single "Load and Soak" test, where a device is subjected to a heavy, continuous load for an extended period. 

Example: A repaired power supply is connected to a 100% load (Load) for 24 hours (Soak) to ensure it doesn't fail due to heat or component fatigue. 

Why Load and Soak?
Early Failure Detection: It finds "infant mortality" failures, where components are destined to fail early, but need time to do so.

Thermal Stabilisation: Ensures the product remains functional as internal components reach their maximum operating temperatures.
